When was the show--me domain taken out?

I'm just wondering when this domain name was take out of the tracking URL's and was an email sent about it? I never received one, but noticed today when I was going to place some ads that it no longer works (been on vacation so just not been active the past 2 weeks).

A bit frustrating as I used this in all my ads and marketing sites - now having to back to all of them and update.

I have also used show--me.com throughout all my promotions.

Right now I have hundreds of not working links all over the net.'

went to page cannot be shown.

Hi everyone,

The domain was suspended because of abuse by some of our members.

Godaddy claims they received a lot of complaints about spam email where this
domain was used, but they are unwilling to supply me with the emails so I can
deal with the member responsible.

As Godaddy is the only registrar who polices domains I am in the process
of moving the other tracking domain away from GoDaddy so that this type
of thing cannot happen again.

While the move is taking place, there should not be any disruption in service,
however, we will move them one at a time starting with the least-used domain.

My apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Dear Craig,

I have only just discovered that the show-me.com domain does not work.

I have read your update but it does not make any sense.
You say: " we can move the domains without any disruption in service"
SHOW-ME.COM HAS BEEN disrupted and STILL is disrupted.

I need to know 2 things:
1. Why have we not been informed by e-mail immediately?
You often send us promotional e-mails to buy or join some of your programs.
That is ok, we agreed to that and if we buy you make money.
Now we are all losing out because our advertising, spread over thousands of websites are offline.
It is only fair to all members to be informed by e-mail immediately.
I do not log into my backoffice every day, but I do check my e-mails every day.

2. What are we supposed to do now? Please give us a solution to how we can get all this void advertising active again.
Do we really have to go through all the hundreds of tracking links we have in the backoffice and change them manually?
and then find all the programs we used that advertising and change them?
I think you should at least help us to get this solved quickly and efficiently.

When one of our tracking links either go offline, or even as in the case of the domain suspention, I would like
that link be automatically redirected to a website of OUR choice. I often see one of my tracking links that should
go to a website that suddenly does not exist anymore, go to one of YOUR Clickbank products. If that happens I would like
MY sites to be redirected to one of MY Clickbank products. How can we set that?

Hi Bizfit,

When Godaddy suspends a domain it is suspended at the registrar itself, meaning that
the domain owner has no control whatsoever over that domain.

The bad news....There is absolutely nothing I can do to make sure show--me.com
tracking links still direct to the destination it was intended to go to.

The only thing I can do from my side to make sure this never happens again is to move
all the other tracking domains away from godaddy as they are the only registrar who
polices domains.

As far as tracking links with errors and deleted tracking links are concerned, the tta
system has a one line of code script which redirects to the admin rotator rather than
displaying an error message.

My suggestion would be to always check your tracking links before using it in a
campaign as we cannot accept responsibility if your make an error when creating a
new campaign. we also provide you with a confirmation message before you delete
any campaign.

Believe me, I understand your frustration in this matter. I had quite a number of
campaigns set up on show--me.com as well. However, a bigger frustration for me is
the disruption in service for my members.

Please note that I am doing everything in my power to ensure this can not ever happen
again.

Dear Craig,

I refer to my very first post about this domain on July 31st.
I have just set another tracking url and I tested it.

I discovered to my surprise that the http://show--me.com/ domain
is still not working. Why did you not remove it completely from the back office?

I see some others have also posted about this and I do not find this situation acceptable.

We should have been informed about this and warned that we should not use this domain any longer.

Please remove the dead domain from the tracktahtad back office.
Please inform us in future of any such problem arising.

As of this writing I am 100% sure there are no more referencing to the show--me.com domain in your back-office.

Notice was given to all members that the domain is not available for use with tta anymore.
